episode description:
Los Angeles, city of lost Angels. A city full of predators, and prey. You see it at night... it used to shine. The world just isn't what it used to be.It started in an alley (of course it did, it always does). It ended--huh. Ended, now there's a relative term. From dust thou art, to dust thou shalt return. They changed the world, and it's still changing. The earth shudders as they go by. What's inside the shells they wear? That is the question.
Ladies and gentlemen, our champions. Same old, brand new. Alley after alley. Reclaiming territory, and sifting dust. So much dust.
Speculation on/from the vantage point of Alley Oops takes place in this conversation on the 3Deep LJ discussion board.

Introducing Chapter...

episode release date:
the second episode in the season (3D1) will be available for viewing on Tuesday 14 June 2005 (note: we're still hoping to make it before midnight listtime).
episode title:
(Hell Is in the) Details
episode drawing:

art by: Cyn
colored by: vrya
episode description:
Ruins. Ruins. Ruins. And whose fault was that? Talk about blind alleys. Evidence of the disaster loomed on the skyline, and lurked in every heart. Everyone kept going through the motions, but what was there to live for? Wrecked buildings, wrecked beings, wrecked lives. No picturesque ruin, this, built of follies past and present, devastated drives and powers.
What, and who, might now be buried in the rubble? What could be hidden now behind those fallen falsefronts in plain sight? And what needed to be done to make a start at salvage? For those who seek shall find, it's said, even among the dead and the only sleeping.
There are occasions, though, when it is better to let sleeping... dogs lie. Locked in a coffin, buried down deep. When what is locked away escapes the box, trouble as well as knowledge follows. Especially since, on every plane, magic and passion are always in fashion.
Speculation on/from the vantage point of 3D2 Details takes place in this conversation on the 3Deep LJ discussion board.

episode description:
And out of the portal they tumble, the dead returning straight into the arms of Slayer skies and stakes, a rare and bloody welcoming. Returning to a city no longer Angel's, they move through a dim labyrinth of alleys, docks, and demon bars in a world of plain old trouble, brewing under the hulking shadow of the backstory. Which always starts with the grr-in-grrl, like any self-respecting noir.Cherchez les filles, mes amis! There's a briarpatch of blondes, all laying their various claims. But this time round it may well be that the brunettes are the ones having more fun as the Three - and both series - find themselves now hurtling unstoppably towards that minefield called convergence.

episode description:
Too late to duck and cover. Time to move into damage control, but the damage... resists the process. Even the roots of the problems are problems. Hard to see clearly when there are so many sides to every issue. And oh, plenty of issues, some interred in unexpected places. Meanwhile, everyone's looking for cues and clues amid all the leavage... and leafage. What's more important, the cards or who deals them? Even face value shifts between, beneath them. Mysteries of the down deep. There's no guarantee that what's untold will stay that way. But isn't that part of the rush, the tingle, the fight or flight? Conflict is easy. Resolution's hard.

episode title:
Roman Holiday
episode drawing:

art by: Cyn

episode description:
They say that all roads lead to the eternal city. So the Slayer gathers up her troublesome past and dumps it all in an untidy heap on the other side of the world in her latest living room. Gives it a poke or two, trying to figure out what it all means. Nobody's copping to following her lead, and everyone's second-guessing the result, but she forges onward and inward, spidey-senses in play. Setting things in motion. All of them are laden with baggage and the weight of history - even the parts they can't remember. And not even the Slayer can live entirely in the now, or bury the then. They hide the past, or they hide from it, or they hide in it, but who exactly are they trying to protect? When the masks melt away and the music stops, we are all left to wonder what exactly remains - in the flesh, in the heart, in the memory.

no vids this time, sorry. we had the vague idea that nothing but the text would do. oops, did we err?{g}
episode intro:
Their postcards from the front just get more sketchy: still tied together at the root, but all too far apart. Things might look better for awhile in black and white. This, though, is not an age for heroes; what with the feet of clay, that makes things easier, until it makes them hard. But sadly, the ruins they walk are sometimes of their making. And mirrors don't always show them what they'd like to see. It's time to deal. No future in living less than large in the remains of what they used to be. But trust doesn't come so easily these days, even though it might be all there is to reach for in the dark. Still it's time to say enough to those hesitation waltzes. Slough off a skin or two, and see what comes to light. One thing's for sure, the past will come back to haunt them all unless it's laid to rest.
