Questions We Think Might Be Frequently Asked, If We Didn't Pre-Empt Them Here
What is this "Three Deep" thing, exactly?Tea At The Ford presents Three Deep, 22 episodes in prose to continue the saga of the complete Buffyverse. The season will be an organic outgrowth of Jossian mythology and themes, and develop its own canon along the way just to keep things interesting. Nine authors are bringing to life a story brainstormed by multitudes, edited by few, with Barb Cummings as story goddess and macha in the role of showrunner.
What about the pairing(s), ratings, etc.?
As is so often the case with the Ford, the season doesn't really fall into any neat categories. It's not about the 'ships, it's about the story.
As for ratings, read it at your peril, like everything else at the Ford.
Will my favorite character(s) be in the story/be portrayed sympathetically? Will the character(s) I hate be left out/die a fiery, painful death?
We love them all. Like Joss, we're not afraid to bring the big pain, but we don't kill 'em off just to make our own fun. Bashing isn't invited to the tea table. As for who's there, well, that's all part of the story.
How often will episodes be released?
Er, good question. The site has a handy RSS feed to alert you when new content is ready, or if you have your own LJ you can simply add the season to your friends page and follow along with updates fresh off the virtual press. The latter also offers the advantage of allowing you to discuss the episodes with other readers. We don't have a firm publishing calendar, at least not yet.
Where will episode chapters be posted?
There are various ways to follow the virtual joint season, depending on your preference. You can check in at the separate subsite created specifically to house the episodes, trailers and previouslies for the season, which will let you see the custom artwork and other goodies developed just for the virtual season. If you're not a fan of light-on-dark text, you can read via the regular Tea At The Ford site. Those who print the stories out for reading at leisure may prefer to use the PDF files provided on the subsite.
When it comes to keeping up, there's a new LiveJournal to let you know when updates are available (plus extra tidbits like teasers, etc.). If you're not a LiveJournal subscriber, you can use the RSS feed feature to notify you of new material as it's posted.
We'll never forget, never forget, never forget. Oops, we forgot. Can we have some kind of summary of what's already happened?
Sure thing. Try here.
